Mr. Doerge has over 30 years of financing and investment management experience on Wall Street. After earning his MBA from the University of Chicago Business School, he joined the global investment
banking firm Goldman Sachs. During his nearly 20-year career there, Mr. Doerge managed worldwide
investments for some of the firm’s wealthiest clients. Perhaps most importantly, he created a new and
unique bond structure at Goldman. Based on Mr. Doerge’s financial innovation, he was recognized as
one of the firm’s top three high net worth worldwide investment managers.
Mr.Doerge then launched the private equity firm Doerge Capital LLC, which invested over $200 million in
such high-profile start-ups as Blue Rhino Propane, Boston Chicken, Einstein Bagels, Emultek
Technologies, Cell Pathways, and eMusic. With these successful investments, many initially in the form
of Collateralized Convertible Bridge Loans, Doerge Capital realized strong audited returns.
These results allowed Mr. Doerge to launch a $100 million fund, the Doerge Collateralized Bridge Loan
Fund LLC. In a separate major transaction, he successfully obtained 12 acres in Las Vegas behind and
parallel to the Strip through bankruptcy court. He sold this property to Harrah’s Casino, which later
invested $20 million with Mr. Doerge.
This in turn allowed Mr. Doerge and his team to buy adjacent properties to complete a 16-acre parcel, which now is the home of the famous Vegas Ferris Wheel. After the 2008 economic meltdown, a gold mine opportunity arose. Working extensively with the Bureau of Land Management, Mr. Doerge successfully gained the mining permits to open that gold mine, within one mile of the famous WALL STREET Mine, 40 miles from Las Vegas.
Mr. Doerge has established relationships with senior executives in a wide variety of fast-growing and emerging industries, including internet developers and the biotechnology and health care industries. He
has also been heavily involved in discussions regarding the advantages of using currencies; various hedging techniques; bank instruments such as SBLC and BG. With the rapid climate change in the investment world, Mr. Doerge will say, You Never Stop Learning.
